Met my new dentist yesterday Sahana and her Dental Nurse Lynsey. The treatment was really quick and I felt so relaxed all the way through it - so friendly and all the procedure was explained to me clearly. I would highly recommend Govan Dental Care

I can not thank Govan dental Care enough. All the staff have been absolutely fantastic. I had major pain from wisdom tooth and was seen that day. Amy at the front desk was so polite and professional as are all the staff. Once again thank you

I came in for emergency treatment. Danny and Sophie were both very reassuring and made me feel at ease. Both are clearly knowledgeable, explained the process clearly, dealt with my issue, and gave detailed guidance on my next steps. Thank you. Highly recommend.

I had a tooth extraction here under sedation due to my dental anxiety and they were great. Danny and Lynsey were amazing, made me feel at ease and the procedure was no problem at all for me because of this. I highly recommend using this dental surgery!

FAQs

We are available for appointments 24 hours a day. While our standard operating times are between 7am and 11pm, we can still see you at anytime you like and are more than happy to book patients in 24 hours a day.

For appointments outside of our standard operating hours, we do charge a call out fee to be seen.

Please note:

The call out fee does include the cost for the consultation, X-rays and first line of treatment required to get you out of pain for one tooth. Treatments included can be complex extractions, composite fillings or even the first stage of a root canal to get you out of pain.

For any further information please don’t hesitate to call us on 07541 911 123.

If you’re in pain, it’s an emergency. You can also visit our emergency dentist if you have chipped, cracked or knocked out a tooth. We also help patients who have lost fillings, crowns, veneers or bridges. If you’ve broken or lost your denture, this is also an emergency. And finally, if you have recently had an extraction and you’re still in pain or the extraction site won’t stop bleeding.

The first step for dealing with a dental emergency is to call our team on 07541 911 123. We can advise you on home care methods while you wait to see an emergency dentist.

Remember that we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so you won’t be waiting long to see a dentist.

Warm salt water rinses are very useful if you have swelling or some sort of infection, as salt water is a natural antiseptic and can reduce pain. Another temporary measure is taking over the counter painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, as this will slightly reduce any pain. Always consult with a professional before taking any medication.

Most people suffer from dental pain at night as blood flow to the head increases when you lie down to sleep. This causes pain from the swelling to increase. To help manage this pain, we recommend seeing a dentist as soon as possible to diagnose the issue with X-rays and create a treatment plan.

Unfortunately, toothache is not classed as a life threatening emergency so they will not be able to treat you. However, if you have any swelling that is affecting your ability to breathe, then we advise you to visit A&E.

The team at Night & Day Emergency Dentist are all experts in working with nervous patients to help them to overcome their phobias. We ensure that we provide a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere to avoid any additional anxiety. If you’ve had a bad experience with a dentist in the past, we want to help you to overcome your phobia.

We will do everything we can to help. For example, if you are feeling anxious during the treatment and need us to stop, you can simply wave your hand and we’ll give you a moment. We carry out all treatments at the pace that suits the patient and strive to provide a comforting experience. We also explain all of the treatment options so you can make an informed decision about the right treatment path for you.

There is a £50 consultation fee, which includes X-rays, examination and diagnosis of your dental emergency. Additional treatment will be at a further cost. Treatment can be completed on the same day.
